Pic Today 2/1/10

Kirkwood's famous diner since 1947 . . . SPENCER'S GRILL.

The name and location have remained the same, and so has the sign! The familiar neon clock has been ticking, off and on, at the corner of Kirkwood Road and West Monroe for all these 63 years. Generations have met and dined at the counter, enjoying familiar breakfast and lunch specials including "Scrapple."

And now Spencer's Grill is the "late night" spot on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

You can grab a spot at the counter until 3:00 AM. Late night favorites include Philly Cheese Steaks, "Slingers", RFT award winning Biscuits & Gravy and, of course, Spencer's Grill "Scrapple" (a sausage and grits loaf, dipped in pancake batter, fried and smothered in white gravy!)

That should send you off to bed with a smile . . . .
