GRASS TO MOW?
OR FOOD TO GROW!
Thankfully, the City of St. Louis
and City Seeds Urban Farm
chose to turn unused open green space
into an intensive growing farm to help overcome
homelessness, beat drug addiction and cope
with mental illness.
The farm is located across from Union Station
and teaches "future urban farmers" how to grow
and harvest vegetables and seedlings to be
sold and distributed to inner-city gardeners.
Proceeds help provide salaries for St. Patrick Centers
participants and donations to food pantries.
Hooray to all the organizations who cooperated to
make this happen. "Green thumbs up" to all.
