STAR OF THE TROPICAL FRUITS
Starfruits, or Carambolas,
are now in season
and easy to serve, raw or grilled.
Just slice them up
(it's easy to see where they got their name)
and add them to salads, grill them with fish
or eat them as snacks.
Starfruits are entirely edible,
including the slightly waxy skin.
They're crunchy and juicy
and taste like a mix of orange, lime and grapefruit
all in one.
This tropical fruit is now farmed in Colombia, Brazil
and Central America.
