my friend John
makes his famous Sicilian
tomato sauce, from scratch.
Over the next two days
let's follow how he makes enough sauce
to last him all year long . . .
The ingredient list is short and quite simple:
1. 250 pounds ripe, farm fresh tomatoes
2. 6 large white onions
3. 1/2 pound fresh garlic cloves
4. fresh garden basil
5. extra virgin Italian olive oil
It will take all day to prep and cook
