TRAIN SPOTTING
The fronts of these massive locomotives
peered down the tracks
day or night
as these mighty giants crossed the continent
in the 1800s and early 1900s.
What a sight. What a sound.
What an era.
Standing next to them is awe inspiring.
Shooting photos, so much fun.
(More pics tomorrow.)

The detail is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe vision of the locomotives carried me to the far west. A difficult and violent time but also full of dreams and prosperity. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteKisses friend.
What is it about these iron horses that continue to fascinate us. We still I am told it has not gone out of fashion buy train sets for our children. Adults spend big money on authenticating whole villages, towns and dioramas all build around trains.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos,
joanny
reminds me of goodbyes........
