LAST SUMMER DAY
ON THE RIVER

Fall is on the way.

Not many warm days left
to enjoy a hike along the river.

The river is low.
Final wildflowers of the season.
Gold and purple, turning to seed.

Soon the trees will be turning.
The show is about to begin.
