RURAL SPLENDOR:
ABANDONED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
This jewel of a farmhouse
shows the craft of hand made beauty
in rural Illinois, 100 years ago.
Unoccupied today,
but carefully left standing,
as a reminder of a simpler life
in elegant style.
The detail and workmanship
shine through,
each door and window intact
with privacy preserved by country lace curtains.
I wonder how each room is still furnished.
Beautifully, I'm sure.
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the details.

Truly a work of art...I just hope it's not haunted :D
ReplyDeleteI've always dreamed of a house, it's beautiful ...
ReplyDeleteYou're not going to believe, but I found a similar one in my town ... something so special, it seems an imitation ...
A thousand kisses Rick, when you want to go to the beach.
;)

ReplyDeleteLove,

I love these kind of houses so much, seeing this in real would be a reason for me to visit America once. If I would have a lot of money and a beautiful piece of space I would build it here in Belgium my own :).
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy holidays and all the best for 2012.
