CALM BEFORE THE STORM
There's still time to get downtown
for Saturday's Mardi Gras parade and party.
The Soulard neighborhood is all dressed up
in purple, gold and green (the official Mardi Gras colors),
and beads will be flying from parade floats all afternoon.
The weather forecast is sunny and nice,
which means record-setting crowds and fun.
The St. Louis Mardi Gras parade and street party
have grown to be the 2nd largest in America
(behind #1 'Nawlins', of course!)
This morning -- empty streets, decorations and party tents.
Later today -- add 100,000 people having fun.
"Laissez les bon temps rouler."
