WEAVING BEAUTIFUL THREADS
AND PACIFIC COAST COLORS

A gifted weaver from Oregon,
Karen Gelbard,
visited St. Louis this past weekend
for the Historic Shaw Art Fair.

Her masterful woven garments
are hand woven from the softest silks and
chenilles in colors & textures she "paints"
thread-by-thread from the impressions
she sees and interprets from her studio
overlooking the Oregon coast.

The detail and color combinations
in her work resulted in many
"immediate sales" as visitors
saw her work for the first time.
Immaculate edges, unique buttons,
harmonious color combinations,
and the softest, most comfortable feel
show the mastery of her skill as
"The Oregon Weaver."

Karen's jackets, shawls and scarves
can be seen at www.theoregonweaver.com.
