HAS GONE TO THE DOGS
A museum and estate dedicated
entirely to "man's best friend,"
the American Kennel Club's
Museum of the Dog
is situated in St. Louis County,
on the former estate of
Monsanto's founder, Edgar Queeny.
A world famous collection of paintings,
portraits, ceramics and bronze statues
is on display throughout the estate.
Notable donations include an oil portrait
of Millie, the English Springer Spaniel
and White House companion of
President George H. and Barbara Bush.
The Dog Museum is one of the few museums
that encourages visitors to bring their dogs.
