IT'S DOGWOOD TIME

The flowering dogwood tree
is Missouri's state tree,
and has just come into bloom.

Pink dogwoods are popular cultivars,
and are commonly planted
in backyards throughout the state.

But wild dogwoods are mostly white,
and add subtle beauty to the lower canopy
in thick woodlands of oak and walnut.

Unmistakable spring beauty.

  1. This tree is beautiful ... and even more flowers ...
Rick, that beauty is in your photos ...
    They smell the flowers?
    A kiss.
