1000 PAPER CRANES

. . . landed on Art Hill Sunday
beneath the St. Louis Art Museum.

The giant origami folded birds
were assembled as a fundraising campaign
by Backstoppers,
helping families of those who made
the "ultimate sacrifice" for our safety.

The public was invited to purchase
their own crane, to take home, for $10.
All proceeds were given to Backstoppers.

100 volunteers folded 5-ft X 5-ft sheets
of paper to create the cranes,
  and folded, and folded . . .

  3. I would buy one of those cranes if I had a place to put it. What a great idea.
