R. I. P.
THE GREAT
H. R. GIGER

Swiss surrealist H. R. Giger
is dead at 74.

Creator of the scariest creatures in film,
Giger is best known for his "xenomorph"
alien in Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror masterpiece, ALIEN.

His original designs were featured in paintings, sculpture,
movie sets, album covers (Emerson, Lake & Palmer)
and even a microphone stand for the band, Korn.

His art is on display at the Giger Museum in Gruyere.

(Giger fell down steps at his home in Switzerland,
and later died at the hospital.)

Farewell to a very talented artist.

  1. Hi Rick,
He was definitely an exceptional artist and Ridley Scott couldn't have done better to pay him a fantastic tribute when he took inspiration from his "alien" art.
    Thanks for sharing this!
    Keep well!
