Pic Today 5/16/14

For a "tree farmer",
crops are trees
for long-term cultivation.

Rows and rows of maple, oak, birch,
pine, locust, spruce and walnut.

Harvested from 2 to 10 years old
for landscaping, city planning,
parks, highways, and forestry conservation.

Trees are important for watershed,
wildlife habitat, temperature moderation,
CO2 absorption, timber, pulp, shade,
oxygen, but most of all . . . beauty!

  1. Hi Rick,
Do I agree with your comment!
Trees are essential to the good health of our planet, it is so terrible we don't have much of the primary forests left on the planet...A great job to work with trees, that is what we do on our property!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Thank you Rick for Your always warming words in my blog!! I am not that good, but I love the process in making pictures. Everything else disappears and I remain in my own little world you certenly know :-)

Springtime also in Kirkwood I see, a lovely time of the year :-)

Nice weekend to you from Norway.

  3. Nice looking tree orchard.

  4. Recuerdo un capítulo del libro "Crónicas Marcianas" de Ray Bradbury...un hombre en el planeta marte plantaba árboles sin es maravilloso?
