IT'S HOMEGROWN STRAWBERRY TIME

Finally!

The season is late this year (chilly Spring),
but homegrown strawberries are ready to harvest.

We pick them when they're ripe,
sweet and flavorful,
unlike those red-on-the-outside,
white-on-the-inside California monsters
shipped to our grocery chain stores.

Homegrown strawberries!
You'll know 'em when you eat 'em.
Sweet and flavorful.

My favorite way to enjoy these fresh berries:
covered with cream!

Yum.

  3. Aha!
Just ate some for lunch... Also not from the super market!
I wonder how long they will continue to sell this rubbish (I mean all edible stuff)!
    Fortunately, people are waking up!
    Cheers Rick

  5. I miss good strawberries, especially home grown. This years strawberries were not very good….

  6. I hear ya 'bout those California ones - hardly any taste at all, and crunchy to boot. Your photos have me drooling. Our strawberry season is about a month away yet.
