SUPER BOWL 49
LIVES UP TO ITS NAME
I almost passed on watching the
49th Super Bowl championship
football game this year.
But I'm glad I didn't.
Seattle and New England battled
back and forth throughout the game,
while most viewers
(an estimated 113-million in 48 countries)
watch for "over the top" TV commercials
and the legendary half-time show.
This year, no expense was spared as
Katy Perry performed on extravagant stages,
with 4 costume changes no less.
My favorite TV commercial was for Fiat,
who introduced their new 500X mini-car
to American markets . . .
with an amorous Italian gentleman
who pops a "little blue pill" in his mouth,
but misses, as it goes out the window
and down into the gas tank of the new Fiat,
getting the car excited and larger
(and magically expanding from 2 doors to 4).
Back to the game . . .
which went down to the final minutes
with an intercepted pass, and
a miraculous win for Tom Brady
and the New England Patriots.
Not a disappointing Super Bowl game!
