Pic Today 11/26/15

THANKSGIVING:
WHAT IT IS (AND ISN'T)

Today is Thanksgiving,
in America (Canada, too.)

We all grew up
learning what they taught us
 about Thanksgiving . . .
Pilgrims surviving their first winter
(thanks to the Wampanoag Indians),
sharing a successful harvest
with their native American friends,
and feasting together.

But for me,
Thanksgiving is when we
come together, friends and family,
prepare a grand feast
and toast our blessings.

And have lots of fun,
like my friend, Pattie (last pic).

(Nice costume, Pattie.
Love the feathers.)

Where ever you are,
enjoy this peaceful day,
and count your blessings.
