LOVE MY OLD
"MAGIC CHEF" OVEN

This is the flame
of a Magic Chef range.

This is the 1940 oven
that came with this
magnificent river cabin,
with all its original contents.

"Things rust when you live on a river."
And yesterday's service call
confirmed the oven-side of this stove had
rusted 'innards' and was now inoperable.
 (Sad moment.)

But the Magic Chef shall remain in place,
with working broiler and stove top burners.

We learn how to accept the changes,
to adapt and preserve.

STILL COOKIN'.

  1. Son los inconvenientes de vivir en un lugar tan bonito, (y también los años del horno, que el pobre es tan viejito que ya quiere jubilarse) No queda otro remedio que aceptarlo; es una lástima, pero ¿qué se le va a hacer?

  2. Oh yes, living by the water, may it be the sea side or a river, things do tend to rust.
And let's face it, things always change...
Some are very sad moments but others are full of light :)
Keep well, Rick, and enjoy your weekend... at the cabin?!!
