THE BRILLIANCE OF FORSYTHIA

Always a predictable sign
    that Spring has arrived . . .

that blast of brilliant yellow:
blooming forsythia!

Here's a tip
if you want some
outside your door:

1.  Find a forsythia shrub.

2,  Go snip a fresh branch,
6-8 inches of a top shoot.

3.  Stick it in soil, or potting soil.

4.  Keep moist.

Give it a month or two,
while it takes root.

You now have a forsythia shrub.

(Share the brilliance of Spring.)

  3. Forsythia is a very beautiful bush.
I have quite a few in my garden but I trimmed them quite dramatically so they are not blooming to their full potential this season.
    Warm hugs from France :)

  5. Oh, I learned something new, thank you! We have plenty of these sunny bushes here, but I didn't know the name. Yes, they are the first to blossom...

  11. They really are lovely harbingers of spring. They seem to endure all kinds of neglect and weather. True survivors.
