BLEEDING HEARTS
IN THE GARDEN

A nostalgic, romantic favorite
in the Spring shade garden.

"Some of you may remember
in my early days,
I was sort of a 'bleeding heart liberal.'
Then I became a man
and put away my childish ways."

-- Ronald Reagan, 40th U.S. President

(It's a shame that we grow up, you know?)

  2. In Sweden we call the flower lieutenant heart. Bend down to them pink leaves of the flower so the flower looks like a beautiful woman in pink dress and then opens up to the pistil so it looks like a bottle of champagne . Therefore, the soldier's love for the woman , and of course a bottle of champagne .
