The town of Red Bud
was once a booming agricultural city,
in the heart of Southern Illinois.
Main Street, Town Hall, Hotel, Bank,
Jail, Mercantile, Dry Goods, Blacksmith,
surrounded by working farms and families.
But that was "turn of the century."
Today, main street is empty; stores have
moved to the nearby malls;
barns slowly fall down.
And it's beautiful.
