OUR SHINING ARCH

Any way you look at it,
the St. Louis Gateway Arch
is a shining hunk of stainless steel.

Officially named the Jefferson National
Expansion Memorial, this 630-foot high
architectural wonder is actually clad
in sheets of high-grade stainless steel.

It is due to re-open soon,
so visitors can ride special elevators
to the top.   What a view.

Sitting on the steps of the Mississippi
in downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch
celebrated its 50-year birthday last year.
