CHIVE FLOWERS

For the past two weeks,
chives have been blooming.

Such beautiful buds,
atop these fragrant stems.

Yes, they are edible.
Trim them now,
before they flower.
Add them to soups and salads,
or blend with goat cheese
and serve on crackers.

Beautiful and delicious.
A perfect combination.
