Waiter Mickey Garagiola,
older brother of hall-of-famer
Joe Garagiola. was actually
first to taste this accidental treat,
when ravioli was accidentally
dropped into the deep fryer at
Mama's On The Hill.
Several Italian restaurants have
since claimed the origin of this
tasty first course . . . which is always
deep fried, dusted with parmesan cheese,
and served with marinara sauce.
