MOVE YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR
. . . UNLESS IT'S ILLEGAL!
Throughout most of the United States & Canada,
it's Daylight Savings Time.
We moved our clocks ahead one hour last night,
lost an hour of sleep,
but gained more daylight in the daytime.
(Confusing, I know.)
This is an idea proposed by Benjamin Franklin,
and still stirs controversy till this day.
Fact is, most of the world does NOT adopt the practice:
China, India, southeast Asia, most of Africa and South America
and the top half of Australia.
So, if you want to know what time it is, where you are,
just check your cell phone . . .
except, of course, if you've got an I-Phone.
(It seems I-Phone forgot to automatically
adjust the time for their customers,
at least in the U.S.)
Somehow we let our law makers and governments decide
what time it is, and when we change our clocks
and when we don't.
