SPRING VEGGIE GARDEN:
BEAUTY MEETS NUTRITION

Spring gardens are fantastic this year.

Those who risked planting early
are enjoying an early harvest.
Salad eaters, rejoice.

Here's the rule:
If it's beautiful, it's delicious!

Especially . . .

Swiss chard
Spinach
Chinese cabbage
Broccoli
Parsley
Lettuce
Kale

Beautiful food is good for you!

VACANT LOTS TURN GREEN

There's a "growing" trend in the city --
turning vacant lots into community gardens.

Neighbors apply for a raised bed plot . . .
pay a nominal fee for garden usage . . .
agree to keep their space trim & neat.

The rest is up to them, their seeds
and watering can, and Mother Nature.

Neighbors grow their own,
learn home-grown nutrition, and
make their community more beautiful.

Great idea!
Delicious too.

THE GLORY OF THE
MAGIC CHEF MANSION

In the 1930's, half of America's home stoves
were made by Magic Chef Stove Company,
in St. Louis, Missouri.

The founder of Magic Chef, Charles Stockstrom,
transformed part of his vast fortune
into an elegant mansion, on Russell Boulevard.

The residence, designed by Ernst Janssen,
and completed in 1908,
remained in the family until 1990.

The home has been restored to its
turn-of-the-century elegance, including all
the original lighting fixtures and period furnishings.

This magnificent private residence is available
for private parties, weddings and receptions
(servants not included.)
