CALIFORNIA WILD FIRES

SPREAD THROUGH WINE COUNTRY

Northern California is bracing for

another windstorm that has

already evacuated 200,000 residents

and wiped out whole vineyards

in Sonoma and Napa Valleys.

The Storm Prediction Center warned

of "extremely critical fire weather"

beginning today, amid an unprecedented

wave of power blackouts by 

Pacific Gas and Electric.

Estimates predict the fires to burn

until November 7.

State officials link the increase

in wildfires to climate change.
