POINSETTIA

The "flower of Christmas."

Introduced from Mexico, it is widely
propagated for indoor use during
the holidays.

The bright red bracts are often
mistaken for flower petals,
but are actually leaves.

Despite its earlier reputation,
no part of the poinsettia is poisonous.

THE SMELL OF
FRESH BAKED COOKIES

Visited Joy Stinger's house yesterday.
Picking up jars of her fall crop
raw honey for holiday gift giving.

As I entered her kitchen,
the unmistakable aroma of
fresh baked cookies filled the air.

She grabbed a still warm
chocolate cookie, and said
"open wide."

What a treat.

What great timing to visit the
Stinger household.

Thanks, Joy.

79th ROGUE UNDERGROUND DINING

23 lucky "first respondents" attended
the 79th Rogue event last evening,
and were treated to a decadent
"7 Deadly Sins" themed menu.

Lots of butter, and more than
one dish smothered in cream
and foie gras.

OMG.

Perfectly paired with the
themed decadent beverage.
For the holidays.

featuring a 6-foot high St. Louis arch
and the surrounding neighborhood
for this grand old hotel.

Stop by and see this gingerbread
work of pastry art
in this recently refurbished hotel,
in midtown St. Louis.
