DINING EVENT WAS

DECIDEDLY X-RATED

After all, 30 in Roman numerals is XXX.

And they picked the perfect place

 to serve this 9-course gourmet dinner . . .

the very naughty Shameless Grounds

Cafe and Coffee House.

The lucky guests were shocked at

the delicious menu and accompanying wines,

including a custom bottling of SEELBACH,

a mixture of champagne, bourbon whiskey,

Cointreau, bitters and orange peel,

blended, bottled and capped earlier that day.

Rogue serving staff were appropriately

dressed in "revealing" aprons.

There's a new way to hold "yard sales"

  in the neighborhood . . .

Put all your "junk" in the front yard,

and don't worry about the sale price.

Take what you want, 

and pay what you want.

It all disappears,

and at a fair price, too.

TIE ONE ON FOR DAD

There's a roadside tribute for Dads

which has been attracting add-on ties

since Father's Day.

Located at a local bus stop,

family members have been

adding some of Dad's ties

 for a public salute.

What a great way to have him

"tie one on."

IT'S WATERMELON TIME

Now that it's summer,*

it's time to buy a homegrown watermelon,

picked fresh from the field,

still warm from the sun.

The sweet taste of summer.

Mmmmmm, yum!

Chill a melon in the creek

on a hot summer day

for a refreshing treat.

DAYLILIES:

EDIBLE BEAUTIES

Fields of daylilies 

color hillsides and yards

with carpets of orange.

They offer chefs and home cooks

some delicious recipes as well.

Daylilies are completely edible

 and downright delicious . . .

the flowers, root tubers and

especially the slender flower buds.

In fact, daylily buds are often called

"poor man's asparagus."

Add flowers to a summer salad, or

sauté the buds for a delicious

addition to your next stir fry.
