DID PHIL SEE HIS SHADOW
TODAY?
(Lord, I hope not!)
Today is Groundhog Day.
On this date each year,
in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania,
Phil (the groundhog) is let loose
to see his shadow, or not.
If it's sunny, and he sees his shadow,
it means 6 more weeks of winter.
(Boo!)
But if it's cloudy,
and no shadows for Phil to see,
Spring will be early this year.
I repeat, Spring will be early this year ! ! !
(Yay!)
Fingers crossed.
I want to see the movie again and again,,,,,
ReplyDeleteNews update: Phil was unable to see his shadow this morning, which means AN EARLY SPRING IS ON THE WAY. Since 1887, when annual "shadow sightings" have been recorded each Groundhog Dog, there were only 16 years when Phil was not able to see his shadow. So this is a special day -- and we're eagerly awaiting an early Spring.
