SACRED LOTUS BLOOMING
Now is the season (hot, hot, hot)
when the sacred lotus sends its blooms
above the water.
Angular stems
reaching past radiating leaves.
Tight buds bursting
into white and pink perfection.
The show has begun
in the Japanese Garden pond,
at Missouri Botanical Garden.
(So beautiful.)
