AT CRYSTAL FEST
The final day of Midwest Crystal Fest
was full of discoveries for kids . . .
breaking open geodes
to discover crystals inside,
and a "crystal hunt" in the woods
where kids (and their parents)
were led to trails full of
crystals and sparkly treasures.
Something for kids of all ages.
Can't wait till next year's Crystal Fest!
When I lived in Missouri, I had a place way back in the woods where I could find fossils. A lot are invisible unless they're wet, and an observer would think I was crazy, licking rocks way back in the woods. But it was cool to hand someone a rock and say "Look at this". They'd see a plain rock and say So? Then I'd take it back and lick it and there would be a fossil, plain as day!
