The "office of Evensong" is sung atthe close of each day in abbeys and
monastic communities, this past evening
by the monks of the Benedictine order (O.S.B.)
and the choir of
The Church of St. Michael & St. George
in St. Louis.
It is a service of rare beauty offered through
the singing of psalms and canticles,
virtually unchanged for 400 years.
Time is suspended as words and voicescombine in music resonating throughout
the sacred acoustics of St. Louis Priory/Abbey Church.
