SWEET TASTE OF SPRING
The honeysuckle is in bloom
which is always our chance to
taste the sweet nectar of spring.
(It's especially sweet and fragrant this year.)
Pull the thin white tubes (pistils) from
the honeysuckle flower, and taste the droplet
of nectar hanging from the end.
Now you know why honeybees spend their days
dining on spring's sweet flowers.
