WORLD'S LARGEST AQUARIUM
No, it's not in California . . .
it's not in Florida . . .
It's in Atlanta, Georgia ! ! !
Have a glimpse of the Georgia Aquarium,
the world's largest indoor aquarium . . .
home to more fish than any other aquarium,
including dolphins, beluga whales, giant manta rays and
two whale sharks, the largest fish on earth.
After visiting the Monterey Aquarium (California)
on his birthday in 2000,
Bernie Marcus, co-founder of the Home Depot,
dreamed of creating an even bigger aquarium
and donating it to his home town, Atlanta, Georgia.
5-years later, and after donating $250-million to the project,
the magnificent Georgia Aquarium opened
and houses this 10-million-gallon salt water facility.
(It took 1.7-million-pounds of salt
to create this "instant ocean.")
Standing in front of this massive underwater tank
is an experience impossible to describe.
(You are inches away from the largest, most graceful
sea creatures on our planet.)
Anemones, jelly fish & sea horses tomorrow!
You're back!
