GOURMET RAMEN NOODLES
Ramen noodles have a bad name.
(I think of them as cheap, dehydrated
instant Asian lunch.)
Hiro Asian Kitchen (St. Louis)
proved me wrong.
Their beautiful restaurant serves
amazing Ramen and traditional dishes
from scratch . . .
including Hiro Ramen . . .
fresh wheat noodles
with 5-spice pork & fragrant vegetables.
Amazing!

ReplyDeleteI have never had these noodles fresh, i can only guess that it makes a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteI remember a movie, wish i could tell you the name, a young woman insisted on learning how to make good noodles much to the cafe owners frustration. I enjoyed it.
It is the dried and instant noodle packs that destroyed it all. I remember we had a "miki" factory where workers made noodles from scratch stretching the dough until noodles formed. It was magical! As with everything else "instant" and "fast" ruins food.
