SCENES FROM
CUBA, MISSOURI
An hour west of St. Louis,
Cuba is an historic stop along I-44
(60 years ago, an exit-ramp on
the original Route 66) . . .
souvenir shops, gas stations and
roadside motel rooms for travelers
headed to the west coast.
Remnants and abandoned one-room
stop-overs still remain, along with
Ozark scenic stops and rolling farmland.
Today, Cuba is the turn off for Missouri's
best "float trip" rivers and pristine trout streams.
Interesting place to visit. All such beautiful places should be preserved well.
