GOLDEN SIGN OF AUTUMN

A sure sign that autumn is upon us

are wild stands of roadside goldenrod.

Every part of goldenrod is edible and medicinal.

Native Americans have long used its tonic

and herb tea as an anti inflammatory and diuretic,

and to control arthritis, gout and diabetes.

Goldenrod salve relieves eczema and

heals minor skin wounds.

This beautiful herb also attracts

beneficial insects, especially autumn butterflies.
