BALD CYPRESS
IN THE FALL
Bald cypress love
to get their feet wet.
It's why they thrive
on the edge of a pond, or bog.
It's also one of the very few conifers
that loses its leaves each fall
(deciduous trees do that.)
And their feathery leaves
turn from green to bronze.
Their seasonal cones also release
this amazing green pollen
that swirls into tight pools.
It's a beautiful time to enjoy
these magnificent trees.
The eye of your camera knows very well captures every detail. They are beautiful pictures.
