Pic Today 10/20/15

 

 

 

TOP 3 TREE COLORS

Fall foliage is lacking this year!
No "fire in the treetops" autumn
display this year.

(Our fall drought has most
trees going straight from
green to brown.)

But there are some bright spots
in our bountiful treescape.

They are, in my opinion:

3.  Sugar Maple -- always 
      dependable crimson red.

2.  Buckeye -- blankets of
     bright golden yellow.

and

1.  Sassafras  -- our native
      favorite here in Missouri.
      (Fireworks display of color,
   all in one tree!)

These 3 trees are making things colorful
despite our dry October days.

    Yesterday I took my camera and went to the park to find out that it was too green for that time of the year...
