SIGNS THE SEASON
IS CHANGING
Leaves giving up their chlorophyl,
flower heads turning to seed,
volunteer vines hanging down
rain-soaked bluffs,
ripe fragrances all around.
And days growing shorter,
getting ready for fall.
Plants announce the change
so beautifully.
