With our recent rains and mild weather,
anticipation has been growing . . .
Where are the morel mushrooms?
They're here.
The first one, tiny as it is,
is a fresh morel,
found in Des Peres (suburbs)
under an ash tree.
Let the hunt begin!

Finland can pick morels at the end of May and June.
ReplyDeleteMorel sauce is delicious.
In use, remember, well cooked and rinsed, so toxin dissolves.
