FIBERS INTO ART

Paris-based American artist Sheila Hicks

(b. 1934, Hastings, Nebraska)

has been creating hand-spun and woven

fiber installations and sculptures

for nearly 60 years.

Her current show features current works from

private collections and the St. Louis Art Museum,

and is on display at the CAM Museum

(3750 Washington Avenue, St. Louis)

through December 27.

She works in natural and synthetic fibers

in a riot of colors and breathtaking forms.

She has exhibited at major museums

around the world.
