A SPRING SO PRECIOUS

So lucky to have a free-flowing spring

on the cabin property,

and observing how the purity of its

constant waters attracts so much life.

This first image is looking down

at its source, and the moss below.

(Through 15-feet of pure spring water.)

So clear, so clean.

And all around this spring,

   life abounds . . .

lichen, moss, water cress, river oats,

muskrats, wood ducks, and now . . .

a new dam just below, 

raising the water level one-foot

(perhaps a new beaver family.)
