TRELOAR, MISSOURI

There's a small farm town

in middle America

Treloar, Missouri

where the locals,

and like-minded conservationists,

value their way of life

and the land worth saving.

The trains no longer pass through,

to pick up corn and grains.

And so the tracks have been converted

to the Katy Trail,

for cyclists, hikers and visitors,

and weekend concerts.

And so,

there's new life and purpose

for a town

that's not been forgotten.

It's what we value here.
