WORKING WITH CLAY

One of my great joys

is creating art

with my autistic student,

John.

Working with clay

was a sensory treat,

feeling and forming.

Rolling and stacking coils

to form a pot.

And then deciding

it needed to be a bowl,

for Cheerios and milk.

With a spoon, no less.

(We shall be firing and glazing

our clay creation.

And share pics of the final creation.)
