HERE COMES MARDI GRAS

Historic Soulard

(the oldest neighborhood in St. Louis)

is preparing to host this year's

Mardi Gras parade and celebration

(the 2nd largest in the U.S., just behind New Orleans.)

Homes, bars and restaurants

have already dressed the streets

with purple, gold and green,

and beads are hanging everywhere.

Party revelers have already started

partying in the streets (and drinking),

and today is the famous Soulard Pet Parade,

in anticipation of next Saturday's

grand parade and street celebration.

The weather couldn't be nicer.

And this year's Mardi Gras

shares the date with Valentine's Day,

so . . .
