As summer draws to an end,
I pay attention to late bloomers.
Summertime's final flowers.
Delicate beauty.
Solitary expressions
of a season well endured.
Surviving the torrential rains,
extreme heat and storms,
they find a way to
prepare for autumn.
Flowers make the world
a better place.
