WINDFALL POOL GIFT

TO KIRKWOOD HIGH SCHOOL 

At a time when one of St. Louis County's

best rated secondary schools

is slashing budgets and freezing salaries,

Kirkwood High School received an

$11-million gift for a

state-of-the-art Natatorium.

It is now open for student classes,

competitive swim meets with other teams,

and lease to other area schools.

The gift was from Kirkwood residents

Earl and Myrtle Walker.

I am lucky enough to have this "classroom"

as my 7th-hour elective teaching assignment.

(A great way to end a long day.)
